Toto Construction in Chino, CA | Milpitas Construction

We install, repair, and service Toto toilets, Washlets, and lavatory systems across Chino, including the 91708 and 91710 ZIP codes. Milpitas Construction is an independent Toto service provider, not a Toto-authorized dealer, which means we diagnose and fix your equipment without the overhead and scheduling delays that often come with manufacturer channels. What sets our Toto work apart in Chino is that we know this city’s houses: the post-tension slabs in the Preserve, the cast-iron drains in 1950s ranch homes near downtown, and the hard water that eats fill valves. Call (877) 752-4194 for a free estimate on any Toto installation, repair, or bathroom remodel.

Why Chino Residents Choose Us for Toto Service

We’ve been installing and servicing Toto toilets, Washlets, and lavatories across Chino for over a decade, from ranch-era homes on Chino-Corona Road to the Preserve’s post-tension slab tracts. Our crew knows Toto’s specific valve, fill, and seat technologies, so we diagnose and repair them without guesswork, and without pretending to be Toto-authorized. Ken Stafford, our owner, got his foundation in construction technology at Evergreen Valley College before spending two-plus decades on residential builds and remodels across the Bay Area. He brings that same no-shortcuts approach to every Toto job in Chino. Build it right the first time, the Bay Area doesn’t give you a free pass on shortcuts, and neither does a Chino slab. We spec materials by name, so you know exactly what’s going into your home. See our full Toto sales & service capabilities.

Common Toto Construction Problems We Solve in Chino

  • Washlet control boards failing in triple-digit heat. Chino summers routinely push past 100°F, and Washlet electronics in uninsulated bathrooms or south-facing walls cook faster than they should. We see intermittent spray, no-response errors, and dead display panels on S550e and C5 units that sat through a few heat waves. The fix is usually a board replacement, not a whole new seat.
  • Ghost flushing from hard water valve wear. Older Drake and Ultramax II fill valves accumulate calcium scale from Chino’s hard municipal water. The flapper or fill valve degrades, water seeps into the bowl, and the toilet cycles on its own at 2 a.m. Higher water bills follow. We replace the fill valve and flapper with OEM Toto parts and the ghosting stops.
  • Hidden subfloor rot from failed wax rings on ranch-era homes. The 1920s through 1960s homes around downtown Chino and along Chino-Corona Road often have cast-iron closet flanges. Cast iron rusts, flange ears snap, and the wax ring seal fails. Water leaks under the toilet, rots the subfloor, and by the time you see the stain on the ceiling below, the repair is twice as expensive. We pull the toilet, inspect the flange, and replace or patch before we set the new unit.
  • Washlet outlets without GFCI protection in unpermitted additions. Chino has a lot of older homes with unpermitted bathroom additions. Many of them ran a basic outlet to power a Washlet, but skipped the GFCI. Santa Ana wind events cause power flickers and surges, and unprotected Washlet electronics fail or trip breakers at the worst time. We install a proper GFCI-protected circuit as part of any Washlet service.
  • Floor-mounted Toto toilets on post-tension slabs. In 1980s and 2000s tract subdivisions like the Preserve and College Park, the slabs are post-tensioned. Any new floor-mounted toilet or Washlet outlet requires X-ray or GPR scanning before we drill anchors. Skip that step and you risk cutting a tension cable, which is a structural repair no homeowner wants to fund. We scan first, every time.

Toto Service in Chino: What Local Conditions Mean for Your Equipment

Here’s the thing most Chino homeowners don’t realize until they’re mid-remodel: the slabs under the Preserve and College Park aren’t conventional concrete. They’re post-tension slabs threaded with high-strength steel cables under tension. That means every floor-mounted Toto toilet, every Washlet outlet, every anchor point added during a bath remodel has to be located with X-ray or GPR scanning before drilling. Cut a cable and you’re looking at structural compromise and an expensive repair. In Chino’s older downtown ranch homes, you don’t have that cable issue, but you do have something stranger: buried dairy infrastructure. Chino was dairy country for generations, and we regularly find old corral footings, concrete manure separators, and field tile just inches below the surface on those older lots. When a homeowner near downtown asked us to swap a failing Toto Drake for a new comfort-height model, demo revealed a cracked cast-iron closet flange, a wax ring leaking onto dry-rotted subfloor, and buried corral footings where we needed to anchor the new flange support. We cut out the rusted flange, poured a small concrete patch, installed a new PVC flange with an OEM Toto wax ring, and set the Drake with a fresh fill valve. The leak test held and the homeowner sidestepped a much larger floor repair. That’s the reality of Toto service in Chino: you’re not just dealing with a toilet, you’re dealing with what’s under it. We cover the full Chino service area.

Toto Models & Products We Service in Chino

We service the Toto product lines most common in Chino homes. That includes the Drake, Drake II, and Drake Transitional models, the Ultramax II, and the Washlet series from the older 300 and 400 units up through the C5 and S550e. We also handle EcoPower and EcoPromenade flush systems, which show up in some of the newer Chino builds. Our parts approach is straightforward: we use OEM Toto fill valves, flappers, and Washlet control boards whenever the supply chain allows, because Toto engineering depends on exact tolerances. For discontinued models where OEM parts are gone, we source quality aftermarket components and tell you upfront what the tradeoff is. If a Washlet’s board and motor are both failing and the unit is out of warranty, we give you a straight repair-versus-replace comparison. Toto electronics are repairable, but not always worth it on older units. We also carry common Toto service parts locally for faster turnaround in Chino, so you’re not waiting a week for a fill valve.

FAQs – Toto Construction in Chino

My Toto Washlet stopped spraying after the last heat wave, is it the control board or the pump?

It’s usually the control board, not the pump. Chino’s triple-digit summer heat stresses the electronics in Washlet seats, especially in bathrooms without insulation or good venting. The control board handles spray commands, and when it fails, the seat goes unresponsive or sprays intermittently. We test the board and pump to confirm which component failed before recommending a fix. Call (877) 752-4194 for a diagnostic visit.

Can you install a Toto floor-mounted toilet in a Preserve home with a post-tension slab without cutting tension cables?

Yes, but only if we scan first. Post-tension slabs in the Preserve have steel cables under tension, and drilling blind risks cutting one. We use X-ray or GPR scanning to map the cable layout, then position anchors and drain penetrations accordingly. It’s an extra step that adds time and cost, but it’s non-negotiable. Call (877) 752-4194 for a parts-and-labor quote.

We’re remodeling a 1960s ranch home near downtown Chino and found old corral footings under the bathroom, will that change our Toto remodel?

Possibly. Chino’s older lots sit close to the town’s dairy-era past, and buried corral footings or concrete manure separators turn up more often than anyone expects. If the footings are under your bathroom footprint, they may affect where new drain lines or floor anchors go. It can add excavation and soil work to the job, and we’ll map that out before you commit. Call (877) 752-4194 for a site walk and honest scope of work.

Do you use genuine Toto parts for Washlet repairs, and are you authorized by Toto?

We use OEM Toto parts whenever they’re available because Toto systems are engineered to tight tolerances and generic parts don’t always fit or perform. We are not Toto-authorized, and we don’t claim to be. Independence lets us source parts efficiently and tell you when a repair isn’t worth it, without a manufacturer’s sales quota in the room. Call (877) 752-4194 for an honest assessment.
